The Regulatory Advisory (RA) plays an essential role in providing advisory and facilitation services in regulatory matters related to product registration/ notification, intellectual property (IP), biosafety and other relevant accreditations and regulatory requirements that comply with local authorities. The RA also participates in regulatory review initiatives by the respective ministries/ regulators/ agencies towards fulfilling the aim of creating a conducive and progressive regulatory framework for the development of biotechnology and agro-based industry in Malaysia.
RA also provides support and training to equip the biotechnology and agro-based companies/ entrepreneurs on the international standard and regulatory requirements for their business expansion.
Bioeconomy Corporation provides advisory / consultancy services on tax related matters and evaluate applications for relevant tax incentives for the industry. Apart from that, Bioeconomy Corporation also continuously improve industry and public’s knowledge on tax incentives by organising awareness programme such as seminars, exhibition and workshops.
Bioeconomy Corporation is designated as a Monitoring Agency (Regulatory Body) by the Ministry of Home Affairs for applications for Employment Pass for the bio-based industry. We provide advisory for employers applying for related immigration passes for their expatriate employees and also to Resident Pass Talent application.
